Cruises leave Mweya Peninsular three times a day. Morning 8-11am, afternoon 2-4pm and a special sunset cruise 5-6.30pm. The boat is also available for private excursions along the Kazinga channel.
The Kazinga Channel is a 40km water channel that connects Lake George and Lake Edward. The hippo population along the Kazinga Channel is said to be one of the largest in the world. Huge Nile crocodiles swim and bask on the banks and families of elephants come to drink on the shores. Over 600 species of birds can be seen along the channel including the African Fish Eagle, Cormorants and Goliath Heron. Neighboring communities can also be seen along the shore and in small fishing boats.
