In December 2008 Simba Safari Camp opened her doors in one of the most frequently visited parks in Uganda. The comfortable and low budget safari accommodation is located right on the border of Queen Elizabeth National Park and only two kilometers from the Equator.

Simba Safari Camp has a total capacity of 70 beds including family cottages, twin rooms and dormitories. A variety of meals and drinks are served in the restaurant with an adjacent bar and sitting area. Simba Safari Camp features nine double/twin rooms and two triple rooms. The rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished with two single beds or a double bed and mosquito nets. Ensuite is a bathroom with running water and flushing toilet. Part of the floor is covered with natural pebble stones, giving your feet a pleasant massage while taking a shower. The water is heated by a special solar energy system. Moreover, each room features its veranda where you can relax or read a book while enjoying your privacy.
Interested in visiting Queen Elizabeth with the whole family? Then book our family cottage; a comfortable accommodation that allows you to stay close to your family. The family cottage consists of two bedrooms, a fully equipped bathroom and a living room with an extra bed. Also a spacious veranda is available to sit comfortably with your family. The family cottage takes a maximum of 5 people.
For those who are more on a budget, Simba Safari Camp offers three mixed dormitory rooms, with three, five and ten double-deckers. All double-deckers are provided with a mosquito net. Adjacent to the dormitory rooms is a common shower and toilet block with hot and cold running water.
A well-maintained campsite with shared washing facilities is available for our guests who wish to bring their own tent.
At the main lodge you will find an open air restaurant where delicious and affordable meals are served. The meals are prepared with care, giving you a real taste of the African cuisine. Lunch and dinner can be ordered from the a-la-carte menu and sometimes buffet is served.
Adjacent to the restaurant is a well-stocked bar where you can have a refreshing soda or cold beer. In the mornings, a wake up call can be arranged with fresh coffee or tea served at your veranda. A great start for your early morning game drive!
An open lounge area is furnished with comfortable chairs, a great place to unwind after an exciting safari day. A TV with DSTV is available as well.

It is not recommendable to drink water from the tap. Bottled mineral water is available at the restaurant and bar.

The camp is not responsible for valuables kept in the rooms.
The main lodge and rooms are equipped with solar powered electricity. However, due to the environment, the solar system may not charge as expected. In this case kerosene lanterns are provided at the reception. We kindly request you to use the power in an eco-responsible way and turn off the lights when leaving the room.
Cameras and mobiles can be charged in the restaurant area.
We seek to minimize the impact on the environment. Nothing is left in the nature other than our footprints. Nothing is taken from the nature other than memories. We kindly ask you for your support by respecting our valued guidelines. In addition, we offer our guests the opportunity to plant a tree near the main lodge and contribute to the protection of the environment.
The local community is greatly involved in the running of the lodge, including employment and the provision of fresh vegetables and fruits from their gardens.
